Create an accountDo you come from a creative background, and if so, how has your environment played a role in shaping your creative perspective?
Coming from a family with a rich creative background, art has been an integral part of my life from the very beginning. Surrounded by various forms of artistic expression throughout my upbringing, I've developed a unique perspective on creativity. Whether exploring museums or simply observing the world around me, I've always found inspiration in my surroundings. My Waldorf education laid a strong foundation for my creative journey as well, encouraging imagination and fostering a deep appreciation for beauty in all its forms. Every experience contributed to shaping my aesthetic sensibilities and fueling my imagination.
Where do you draw inspiration for your work?
I get inspiration from many things like nature, culture, architecture, and everyday life. I see beauty in the shapes and textures of nature, the different traditions of cultures, the lines and shapes of buildings, and the little moments of human interaction. I believe you can find inspiration all around you. It's just about keeping an open mind and letting yourself be amazed by the world.
How would you define your unique creative style?
My creative style blends vintage and modern elements. I love combining old and new, traditional and contemporary, and playing with contrasting materials and shapes. The goal is to create spaces and artworks that feel both timeless and fresh. Authenticity, quality craftsmanship, and refined details are always at the core of my work. I focus on understated color schemes, luxurious textures, and subtle finishing touches that bring everything together. It’s important to me that each project feels personal and resonates on an emotional level, creating a sense of beauty and connection with my clients and audience.
Could you share some insights into the creative process behind designing your artworks?
My creative process usually starts with thorough research and exploration. I dive into various themes, concepts, and materials, sketching ideas, creating mood boards, and experimenting with different techniques to develop my concepts. As I move forward, I give myself the freedom to experiment and embrace mistakes, which helps refine my vision through trial and error. This dynamic approach allows me to stay open to new possibilities, and the final result comes together through a blend of methods, always guided by intuition and emotional resonance.
What motivated you to extend your collection to include rugs?
I decided to add rugs to my collection to create unique spaces with different kinds of special art pieces. I'm always searching for beautiful materials to design and craft distinctive objects. With my background in fabrics, expanding into textiles felt like a natural evolution. These rugs come in various shapes, materials, colors, and textures, allowing for versatility in how they can be used. You can place them on the floor for a cozy feel or hang them on the wall like tapestries to enhance your decor. I believe that these rich, thick materials not only elevate the aesthetics of a space but also contribute to the overall atmosphere by improving sound quality.
Are there any upcoming projects that particularly excite you?
I have a new collection coming out soon, which I can't wait to share. I'm also working on some exciting collaborations. One project I'm particularly excited about is designing a series of art installations. This opportunity allows me to explore the outer limits of creativity and craftsmanship, creating unique pieces that stand out. I'm looking forward to these projects, as they provide a chance to get creative and push the boundaries of art and design.
